Christine Holtz is artist and photographer. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA, Photography) and Rochester Institute of Technology (MFA, Imaging Arts)

Professor Holtz’s photography has been exhibited and collected nationally. Select exhibitions include Carnegie Musuem of Art (Pittsburgh, PA), George Eastman Museum (Rochester NY), The Fence at Photoville (Brooklyn NY), Atlanta Celebrates Photography (Atlanta GA), Los Angeles Center for Digital Art (Los Angeles CA), Gallery Katz (Boston MA), Boston Center for the Arts (Boston MA), Photographic Resource Center (Boston MA), Houston Center for Photography (HoustonTX), James Watrous Gallery (Madison WI), CEPA Gallery (Buffalo NY), Silver Eye Center for Photography (Pittsburgh, PA)

Professor Holtz joined the department of Media Arts in 2007 and developed RMU’s photography concentration and minor. Prior to teaching at RMU, Professor Holtz was an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at University of Wisconsin Platteville.

Professor Holtz serves as president of the board of directors Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media.
